Carlos Alvarez

Born in New York City, Carlos loves to travel and welcomes new experiences. He is a cross country and track runner. A senior, he also plays violin, writes short stories, teaches Tae Kwon Do and chess. Carlos is a member of the National Honors Society, a Who's Who Scholar and a Ventures Scholar. In the past year, he has participated in various summer programs around the country -- eating doughnuts in 12 different states!

Elizabeth Marchetta

Coming from a large family ---six children all together --- has helped shape Liz into a patient person who's good at working with others.  A junior, Liz is a defender on her school's field hockey team, as well as this year's Student Council secretary.  She also likes photography, hanging with friends and volunteering. 

Eric Stein

Being different is a good thing, says Eric. He considers himself a "social extrovert who suffers from a never ending zeal for life.'' Senior class president at his northern New Jersey high school, Eric plays varsity basketball, works a lot and likes to write. 

Lindsey Armstrong

A senior in Pennsylvania, Lindsey has worked as a sex and peer educator since her sophomore year. When she graduates from high school, Lindsey wants to study psychology and interior design. She's a vegetarian and loves to cook, sew and play golf. She's the oldest of four -- two sisters and a brother.

Pauline Hemmingway

Born in Brooklyn, Pauline is a sophomore at a Catholic High school. Her friends call her Lena. She enjoys dancing, rollerblading, bike riding, shopping, listening to music and going to the movies. In college, she hopes to major in psychology and choreography.

Stephanie Toth

An aspiring journalist, Stephanie began writing in second grade. Since then, she has pursued every chance she’s found to improve her writing abilities. A reporter for her high school’s newspaper, Stephanie hopes her work with SEX, ETC. will help launch her journalism career.

Thom Pasculli

An avid thespian and self-proclaimed adventurer, Thom lives in a rural area of northern New Jersey -- a place he loves, even though it's out in the "boonies." Thom is an aspiring playwright and captain of his ski team. In college, he hopes to major in theater and international studies.
