1998-1999 SEX, ETC. Editorial Board

Brad Bailey

Meeting new and different people is what keeps Brad from going crazy in
his " backward South Jersey" town. "I will jump at any chance to get out and see the diverse world," says Brad, who is a senior at Cumberland Regional High School and is president of his class.

Collin Howard

A self-proclaimed Broadway fanatic and thespian who plans to star in a show someday, Collin’s wit and charm come in handy when he interviews other teens for his SEX, ETC. stories. The 16-year-old is a junior at Wardlaw-Hartridge, a private school in Edison.

Daniel Reyes

Outspoken and opinionated, Dan is president of his school’s student council, an editor of the newspaper and yearbook and a member of the National Honor Society. Dan, 17, is a senior at South River High School. "I find it necessary to voice my opinion because too many teens are not being heard," Dan says.

Elizabeth Wiggins

Always on the run, Elizabeth likes cross country, track and swimming. A senior at Union High, she manages to slow down long enough to participate in various clubs and activities, including SEX, ETC. and the National Honor Society.

Gregg Bernhardt

Stopping the spread of HIV and AIDs is a real focus for Gregg, one of hundreds of teens who participated in New Jersey’s World AIDS Day, which teaches students how to bring better HIV/AIDS education to their schools.   Gregg, a senior at Nottingham High, is also president of his class and the National Honor Society.

Irene Hernandez

As a trained peer counselor, Irene sees lots of teens in trouble. She takes pride in helping them find their way to the solutions that are right for them. Irene, a senior at Kearny High School, also participates in student government, the National Honor Society and the Italian Honor Society.

Samantha Nay

With plenty of opinions and a keen eye for a good story, Samantha plans to become a TV journalist. A junior at Delran High School, Sam, as we call her, volunteers to work in the community and works on her school newspaper.   She loves sports, music and "just having fun."

Stephanie Kline

An aspiring writer and public speaker, Stephanie loves debating and traveling. A senior at Allentown High School, she is also editor-in-chief of her school newspaper, as well as student council president and Spanish Honor Society president. One of Stephanie’s favorite activities is working on SEX, ETC.

Taina Rodriguez

A senior at Matawan Regional High School and a trained peer educator, Taina likes to act, dance and talk -- a lot. She’s also totally motivated. She has taken on some pretty impressive projects, including a report on whether schools should distribute condoms. (She thinks they should).

Tejas Amin

Quiet and thoughtful, Tejas likes sports, including basketball and hockey.  A sophomore at Montville High, he’s also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and the National Students Union.

Zandile Blay

A mover and a shaker who likes to run track, Zandile serves as the editor-in-chief at her school newspaper at James J. Ferris High School in Jersey City. She also participates in a host of activities, clubs and sports, including student council and peer leadership.
