Title X, pronounced title ten, is a federal program devoted to providing comprehensive family planning services.
Title X clinics give confidential health services to teens and adults. (Confidential means only you know about the visit.) They also provide contraception, including counseling, gynecological exams, screening for sexually transmitted diseases, and other reproductive health care for women and men.
Services are provided on a sliding scale based on income, so that teens and adults with limited incomes receive care at reduced or no cost.
You can find a Title X clinic by clicking here.
Note: The federal government is constantly threatening to cut Title X funding. Can you imagine not being able to find a clinic where you can get confidential services? You can learn more here. You can voice your opinion about Title X services for teens here.
