Should I stay home with my parents after I have my baby?
If you have a good relationship with your parents and theyre willing to help, this is probably the best decision, at least for awhile. Taking care of a baby is a 24/7 job. It requires patience, time and money. If your parents are willing to provide a place to live and maybe other support, then you should accept their help. Youll need it.
Also, remember to ask the babys father for help. Hopefully, he wants to be involved in his childs life (not all guys do). Ask him to take responsibility for caring for your child during certain set times. He should also provide financial support. Even if hes still in school, he can work part-time and at least contribute a little bit each week.
Grandparents are another option. Many teen parents live with their grandparents, maybe helping out with chores around the house in exchange for room and board.
