What is a urinary tract infection (UTI)?

When bacteria or germs get into the urethra, a woman might get a urinary tract infection
(UTI) or bladder infection. Symptoms include feeling like you have to pee without being
able to, or feeling burning while peeing. A UTI is easily treated with an antibiotic
prescribed by a doctor or health care provider.
